Instagram Feature: To improve the user experience, Instagram is now testing a feature that will customize the Reels and Explore sections to your liking. This new feature means users will have greater control, allowing them to see exactly what they want to see on Instagram.
Your Control Over Feed
The company aims to give users direct control over their algorithm, and to this end, it has launched the "Your Algorithm" section. This section will show you which topics Instagram deems you're interested in. Interestingly, users will have complete freedom to add favorite topics to this section and remove topics they don't. This means you, not the Instagram algorithm, will be in control of it.
Testing Begins
Instagram head Adam Mosseri shared a post on Threads stating that the feature is currently available to select users, meaning the company is initially testing it with only a small number of users. After receiving feedback, the company will refine the feature and then roll it out to everyone. However, it's not yet clear when this feature will be released to everyone.
First Reels, then Explore
The company is initially preparing to roll out this feature to Reels, giving users better control over their video feeds. After Reels, the company plans to introduce this feature to the Explore tab. This feature will completely transform your app experience.
