Now the passengers whose IRCTC account is linked to the Aadhar card will be given priority in booking. The biggest thing is that now common passengers will get a chance to book tickets before the agents.
Link your IRCTC account with Aadhar
If you have not linked your Aadhar card to IRCTC account till now, then do it immediately. Complete this process immediately and take advantage of the new facilities. Let us know what is the process of linking Aadhaar to IRCTC account.
How to link IRCTC account to Aadhaar?
First of all go to www.irctc.co.in website on your phone or laptop.
Now log in by entering your IRCTC user ID and password.
After login, go to the “My Account” section and click on the “Authenticate User” option.
Now a new page will open where you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number or Virtual ID.
After this your Aadhaar information will appear on the screen, which should match your IRCTC profile. If the information is not matching, then correct it by clicking on the “Edit” button.
After the information is correct, select the “Verify details and receive OTP” option. Then an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Enter the received OTP in the given box and read the terms and conditions and click on the “Submit” button.
A confirmation message will appear on the screen when Aadhaar linking is complete. After this, log in again on the IRCTC website and if you see a green tick in the “Authenticate User” section, then understand that your account has been linked to Aadhaar.
