In his Instagram post, Karan Johar writes, 'When I became a producer in 2003 with the film 'Kal Ho Na Ho', my agenda was clear - create a company and earn money. So that we can fund stories according to in-house entertainers and mainstream audiences. As a film producer, I was clear that I always have to make people happy. Only this will bring box office success. My priority was always the box office. Now that I have been in this business for 3 decades, my thinking has also changed. I believe that entertainment is important, but it is also important to try to bring social change in small ways. So that the collective consciousness of the audience awakens.'

Karan Johar further writes in his post, 'I am very proud of the film 'Dhadak 2'. I am proud of the writer and director Shazia Iqbal. Who did a brave job of remaking a powerful film. I am also thankful to Dharma Movies, Umesh ji. I am also very grateful to the star cast and crew of the film. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri played very difficult characters.
