Strictly Come Dancing's Tom Skinner has revealed he's already lost a stone since starting training on the BBC show. The former Apprentice star has been paired with pro dancer Amy Dowden in this year's line-up.
Giving an interview to Janette Manraraon Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, the 34-year-old Essex businessman said he was already in better shape just one week into the live shows - and his trousers were beginning to feel loose.
Sharing he had also made some lifestyle changes - such as swapping a cafe fry up for a healthy granola and yoghurt bowl for breakfast, Thomas said: "I'll be honest with you, I've lost a stone since starting Strictly. I'm a stone lighter."
Asked by Janette if he was feeling good, Thomas joked: "I feel no different. I can't wait to get back in the cafe." Being serious for a moment, he continued: "No honestly, I have lost weight and I've noticed my trousers are getting a little bit bigger. I'm learning a skill, which is dancing, and once you know how to do it, it's amazing. They [the professionals] are in a different class. I do it, it's not so good. But I am trying and I am getting there."

Praising his skills on the dance floor, Janette said: "You really are incredible as well. Stop being so tough on yourself because you're doing a good job. I've seen all the clips."
Thomas and Amy are gearing up for Saturday night's show - with the first celebrity sent packing this weekend. And after receiving a mixed response to last week's routine from the judges, they'll be hoping it won't be them in the bottom two, or leaving the competition, when the results are announced on Sunday.
Addressing their feedback, Amy said: "I think that's why there are four judges, and a very important one at home - the fifth judge. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone is looking for something a bit different. But, I was really impressed with Shirley's comments talking about all the technical aspects, his position."
Offering his own thoughts on their score, Thomas quipped: "I remember Shirley saying we never got no moves wrong, no mistakes. Then Craig gave me a two!" Amy said: "I know, but we don't get bitter, we get better."
Thomas and Amy will Salsa to Bonkers by Dizzie Rascal this week. However, fans have become concerned as they noted he has had two Latin dances - traditionally considered harder - back to back in the first two weeks.
One fan quipped: "The song for Skinner... Oh, they want him out bad," whilst another shared: "Oh Thomas is being set up for a fall." A third wrote: "Two Latin dances back to back and Bonkers for a Salsa is a horrible song choice."
It comes as he was revealed to be the most controversial contestant signed up to this year's show. Shortly after the line-up was announced, the news broke that Thomas had cheated on his wife Sinead - who he is still with and shares three children with - weeks after their wedding in 2022.
Though Sinead knew about the affair before it was made public, it hasn't gone down well. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Thomas confessed: "It took a long, long time for her to forgive me and we have worked at it. I will never say I'm perfect, but it was hard seeing my wife relive all of this. But she said that it wouldn't break us, it wouldn't ruin us. She told me that she loves me to pieces and I love her."
As well as the affair scandal, Thomas - who has publicly declared his love for US President Donald Trump and been spotted hanging out with US Vice President JD Vance - is said to have received death threats since appearing on Strictly. Spider-Man star Tom Holland's former bodyguard was reportedly brought in to protect him.
Described as 'the best in the business' Royal Marine Daniel Gilbert joined the former The Apprentice contestant at Kempton Park Racecourse in Surrey on Thursday as he filmed scenes for Saturday's show. Daniel was seen keeping watch over Thomas as he and his dance partner Amy Dowden filmed at a market stall.
Speaking of the threats, Thomas said: "I've had loads of death threats. People say I am this political figure that I’m actually not. The Left seems to be attacking me every day on social media. The Right seem to see me as a figurehead. It’s been a bit much for me.”
