There’s nothing better than having a great pair of trainers in your wardrobe; they’re comfortable, stylish, and easy to dress just about anything down whilst still looking sophisticated and trendy. And if there’s one pair that it seems no wardrobe is complete without, it’s a pair of Adidas Samba trainers.
Although there have been countless colourways spotted on the feet of celebrities and fashion editors alike, this latest colour combination has already been dubbed “The perfect colour for summer” by Frankie Bridge. The Adidas Originals Samba OG Trainers that have caught her eye have a white base with light brown stripes and details, making them look instantly sophisticated and elegant, despite their sporty style.

The Adidas Originals Samba OG Trainers (£95) might have had their initial trending moment last summer, but their popularity doesn’t seem to be waning as they’re still the go-to style for fashion fans everywhere. The main reason they’re such a hit is thanks to how easy they are to style, especially when they come in a timeless neutral colour palette like Frankie’s brown and white pair.
You can just as easily wear them with jeans and a tank top as you can with a midi dress in the summer, or pair them with some cut off shorts and a linen shirt for holiday. Adidas trainers are also known for their comfort, which means you can wear them all day without aches or blisters making them perfect for fun days out or sightseeing on holiday.

The brown and white colour combination is an easy addition to anyone’s wardrobe, but if the Adidas Sambas aren’t for you there are several other options to shop. These adidas VL Court 3.0 in Brown are similar to Frankie’s Sambas, but come in chocolate brown suede with white stripe details and have a slightly chunkier design. They’re also more affordably priced at £65.
Another trending style of trainers is the Nike Dunk Low, and this white and brown pair are currently on sale down from £110 to £64.99. For a super affordable alternative, New Look’s White Faux Leather Perforated Side Panel Trainers are now only £19.79, down from £32.99, and are ideal if you want a more laidback look that lets the rest of your outfit do the talking.
However, we’re trusting Frankie’s judgement that the brown and white Adidas Originals Samba OG Trainers are going to be the trainers of the summer. You can currently pick them up at ASOS in sizes three to 13, with half sizes available too to make sure you get the perfect fit.
