The new season of Love Is Blind UK is now drawing to a close with the two-part finale having dropped on Netflix earlier today. There's just the reunion, hosted by Emma Willis and Matt Willis, left to be released on the streaming platform.
It's been revealed which couples made it down the aisle and are still together after a season full of drama, romance and some break-ups. Viewers watched as relationships formed through the pod-based experiment on the show.
The second season, which returned earlier this month, prompted reaction from fans over the course of the ten episodes that have already aired. There were some 'toxic' moments and 'red flags,' with just a few examples of the drama below.
Food shop tensionSome viewers were concerned following a disagreement over food shopping that involved Billy and Ashleigh. The scenes, which aired in the sixth episode, showed them having a difference of opinion when it came to their shopping list.
Billy shared that he's particular about his diet and isn't keen on having "treats" around due to the temptation to eat them. Ashleigh felt differently, saying that cakes were "heaven" to her. She later said that she felt "uncomfortable" due to his "discipline" over food and their disagreement.
She was told that Billy wouldn't buy cake on a weekly shop, to which she said: "You will see a few sweet treats in the basket." Billy replied: "We won't just have it in the cupboards for the sake of it." Ashleigh said: "Sorry, babe, I will be having it in the cupboards for the sake of it." Billy told her: "No, never!"
Dig after rejectionKieran had been exploring connections with Sophie and Megan early in the season, before choosing the latter. Sophie later came face-to-face with the couple at a reunion party, where she took aim at Kieran following his rejection.
He was pointed out to Sophie from across the room, with her told that he was in a "funky jacket". She responded: "Yeah, Meg, I don't know how you let him wear that." Megan replied: "I love it." Laughing, Sophie said: "Oh, do you? Okay!"
After speaking to Kieran, Sophie told some of the group that she was "very much over the situation" already. Asked how she feels seeing him at the party, she said: "He's not my type. Like, not in a horrible way, but I just don't normally date blondes. Well, at least you guys have good-looking lads."
Night out after 'flirting'
Javen was on the path to marrying Katisha earlier in the season but she ended up leaving the process. It came after he was seen 'flirting' with several people at a reunion party, whilst Katish, who was set to marry him, watched on.
Later that night, Javen told Katisha, who was visibly disappointed by tension in their relationship, that he was going out with co-stars. He left Katisha, who had been criticised earlier in the season for initially expressing interest in dating Demola, home alone, with her then seen in tears in their bed.
As previously reported, Javen has addressed a backlash he's received. He wrote in a post: "Overwhelmed with all the love (& the hate) from episode 4-8 say what you want but you can never call me fake. When the time is right, I will share the FULL story and give you the truth. For now enjoy the episodes and gear up for the next week."
Awkward exchangeFans weren't impressed when Aanu reunited with Patrick at a party after ending their relationship. Patrick apologised for "ruining" her experience, and Aanu complained that he had delayed telling her that he didn't see a future with her.
Amid his apology, she interrupted him to say: "You took the experience away from me, Patrick. You reassured me so much with your words." After tensions rose, Patrick said: "There is no way that me and you were meant to be together."
Criticising his appearance, Aanu, who had been singing that he was a "liar," told him at one point: "Your head scarf looks silly as well, it doesn't match your outfit. Why have you got a headscarf on anyway?" Patrick said he thought it would be a "good look" and she replied: "It doesn't look good, sorry." As she left the conversation, she said: "Good luck with your splenic rectum."
The Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 reunion will launch on Sunday (August 31) on Netflix.
