The Sidemen spark backlash as fans slam prank that went 'too far' in latest video

Fans of the Sidemenhave slammed a prank that went "too far" during their latest video which has seen some backlash.

The online group of content creators and influencers shared their most recent video in their regular Sunday slot which saw 20 YouTubers invited to the "ultimate summer BBQ".

Dropping on the streaming platform this week, the video has already brought in over five million views, with clips having been shared on TikTok.

But some fans have been less than impressed after one star's actions during the latest YouTube video as they said it was "too far".

In one scene, KSI was seen "flipping" the table where the baked goods were placed as Harry could be heard pleading "no please, I spent hours on this."

He added: "That's all I ask", later in the video he could be seen with his head in his hands, alone on a tree appearing to be in tears.

With the clip being shared on TikTok, many fans were left unimpressed as one person wrote: "I liked how they were pranking and messing with each other throughout the whole video but this one just felt too far. I mean Harry spent eight hours making all that stuff."

Another commented: "KSI was actually mean for doing that." A third added: "I thought they wasn’t aloud to cross the line?"

However, one fan said the action "made the video funnier", as another wrote: "Classic moment! Never fails to entertain, love the energy in this one."

Over on YouTube, opinions were also divided as one fan replied: "Ngl, I felt really bad for Harry when JJ flipped his table after he said he spent hours on it!"

Another commented: "I doubt he was crying for real, but I don't doubt that he was probably pretty devastated that he flipped his table ngl."

As one fan defended the fact KSI was "playing a character" for the purposes of the video, another was unimpressed, adding: "Yes, but that was too far for me! I just felt bad for him!"

The Sidemen have become hugely popular over the years, from online gaming to creating their own content, and they continue to go from strength to strength. They have even been involved in a Netflix documentary called The Sidemen Story, showcasing their success.

They regularly post content every week on a Sunday, which they hashtag #SidemenSundays. The group of friends initially gained popularity by posting their gaming content from back in 2013, but later ventured into more personal videos as well as collaborating and expanding their content.
