
A horrific stabbing attack has left one person dead and two injured in Mellrichstadt, Germany. Police have decribed the incident as an "altercation" involving four employees of a utility company in the small Bavarian town, and a 21-year-old German citizen was arrested at the scene. A woman, 59, was killed, stabbed in the neck and upper body, it is believed. Two seriously injured individuals are aged 55 and 62.
Bavarian Police said in a statement: "On Tuesday morning, an altercation involving a sharp object broke out among employees at an electricity supplier, resulting in one person losing their life. Two others were seriously injured. The suspect was arrested at the scene. Police immediately responded with a large contingent of officers and cordoned off the area." The force added that the detained suspect is a company employee, who allegedly attacked several people in the building with a knife.
