England fans are hoping they'll have reason to celebrate on Sunday when they face Spain in the Euro 2025 final. And it wouldn't be the first time after BBC pundits Ian Wright and Alex Scott were left in hysterics by young England supporter Tess ahead of the last Euros decider. Tess, who was eight at the time, became an internet sensation when her dancing in the stands was caught on camera during the Euro 2022 semi-finals, which resulted in her receiving a personal message and gift from her favourite player, Alessia Russo.
Now 11 years old, Tess was spotted on camera dancing to Sweet Caroline after the Lionesses thrashed Sweden 4-0 at Bramall Lane three years ago. She featured on BBC Breakfast the following morning and also appeared live during the coverage of the second semi between Germany and France. The young supporter was handed tickets to the final and joined Wright, Scott, Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall and presenter Gabby Logan in the BBC studio, leading to commentator Jonathan Pearce tearing up.
And Logan had a surprise in store for her. The presenter asked: "I know Russo's a big fan of yours, well you're a big fan of hers, she probably is a big fan of yours. Do you still think she could be the difference today?"
And Tess clearly felt the Arsenal striker, who was still on the books of Manchester United at the time, would be able to make the difference as she replied: "Yeah. I feel like she could do a lot of things to help our team."
Logan continued: "Yeah she's been doing brilliantly, hasn't she? Actually, speaking of her, I've got a little message for you. Just have a little look over there will you."
The coverage then cut to a pre-recorded message from Russo, which was directed at super fan Tess. The England star said: "Hi, Tess, it's Alessia here. Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your support this summer.

"We've loved hearing you on the TV and on Twitter. So much so I'd like to give you this shirt just to say thank you. I hope you love it, and we hope to see you soon."
Tess was taken aback as Logan presented her with a shirt bearing Russo's name and number. England legend Scott then engaged asked the diehard supporter if she would be showcasing her dance moves again in England's name.
"I'm a huge fan and I'm a huge fan of your dancing as well," said Scott at the time. "Are we going to see more of that today?" And Tess responded with a confident: "Yes, definitely!" Her answer had both Wright and Scott roaring with laughter. Ahead of the match, Tess exuded confidence as she added: "I'm feeling very positive, and I feel like we can win this match."
When probed for a prediction, she suggested Sarina Wiegman's team would emerge victorious: "Well, I think 3-2, but at the same time I just hope we win it."
The scoreline may have been slightly off, though Tess at least got her wish as England beat Germany 2-1 in extra time. Chloe Kelly's 110th-minute winner secured England's women their first major title, and they hope to successfully defend their crown in Switzerland.
Kelly played another major role in keeping England's tirle hopes alive as she converted another extra-time goal to beat Italy 2-1 in the semi-finals. However, they'll need the fans on their side once again if they're to beat reigning world champions Spain on Sunday.
