Lisa Hogan has broken her silence after the devastating death of one of the dog she shared with partner Jeremy Clarkson on Diddly Squat Farm. Sharing a video of their beloved pooch, Lisa announced: "Sad news this morning. Mr Grey has gone to fur and feather land."
The heartbreaking video showed Lisa reaching out to comfort her red Labrador Arya, who had just given birth to a litter of 11 puppies - one of which has sadly died. Arya looked up at the camera with sad eyes, surrounded by her puppies, all in different coloured collars, as fans flocked to support a devastated Lisa.
Addressing viewers, she explained: "I have sad news this morning. I came in, we went for a lovely walk and got fed and when I came back, Mr Grey was dead, but he was very, very dead. He was in the corner there, we hadn't seen him because Arya was slightly on top of him.
"I'm just giving four of the puppies, the smaller ones, some time with their mum, and then all the bigger ones here can sleep. Then Mr Lemon, who's a little girl, she needs the most feeding, she's still the tiniest. Poor Mr Grey, I'm sorry, darling. I'm sorry," she told her beloved dog.
Fans rushed to support her, with one commenting: "First TB and now poor Mr Grey, sending you all and poor mum Arya massive hugs." Another said: "Aww Arya does look sad and I'd imagine she's very tired too with so many pups to feed... but you're doing an amazing job with them."
Another posted: "Those tiny sweet babies... poor Arya! You can see the sadness in her eyes... how devastating."
It comes after Diddly Squat Farm was locked down after an outbreak of Bovine Tuberculosis (bTB) affected the cows, with a devastated Jeremy telling Times Radio: "It's awful, it is awful. You have a test every few months on the cows and then you sort of become blasé, it's a hypothetical threat.
"And then the vet looks up as he did yesterday lunchtime and said 'I'm really sorry this one's failed'. So that means we're now locked down and it's just dreadful, absolutely dreadful."
He added: "It's only been not even 24 hours since I found out and it occupies my mind.
"Well it was occupying my mind but I got up this morning and found one of my puppies has died. And we've got a very sickly calf." He explained the farm will be closed for "certainly two months because that's how long we have to wait before we do another test."
