Palana (Bikaner): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his visit to Bikaner Thursday, inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development projects worth over Rs 26,000 crore.
Addressing a large public gathering at Palana, Modi launched various health, water and power initiatives aimed at accelerating the progress of both urban and rural areas of the desert state. He said Rajasthan's much-anticipated refinery project is now in its final stages, positioning the state as a future hub for petroleum-based industries.
Additionally, Modi announced the near completion of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway segment in Rajasthan, noting that such connectivity projects would elevate the state's industrial development to new heights. He highlighted the strategic importance of the six-lane Amritsar-Jamnagar economic corridor, which will pass through key cities including Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Barmer and Jalore. This corridor will bring economic opportunities for all, including farmers, by reducing the cost of transportation and wastage of their produce.
