Masik Krishna Janmashtami 2025: Significance
Masik Krishna Janmashtami is a monthly celebration which is purely dedicated to honor Lord Krishna. On this sacred day, devotees of Lord Krishna observe fast from sunrise till midnight after offering prayers to Lord Krishna. This day is considered very special for Lord Krishna devotees to show express their gratitude toward their Lord. On the day of Masik krishna Janmashtami, devotees acknowledge the role of supreme God in Mahabharata and remember how his teachings mentioned in Bhagavad Gita help them to bring change in their lives. Bhagavad Gita is a sacred text, which is full of life's teachings given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna (on of the Pandavas) during Mahabharata battle. This sacred text explains about righteousness, duty, principles, how people should live their lives and how to overcome every life's challenges that come their way.

Masik Krishna Janmashtami May 2025 : What to do?
Devotees are advised to begin their day by having holy bath and clean the house specially puja room where they want to perform puja. After cleansing, give bath to the idol of Lord Krishna. Light a diya with desi ghee and invoke the idol by chntng mantras and stotrams. Devotees can also chant the verses of Bhagavad Git. Fasting is often done to purify the body and mind and to show respect to Lord Krishna. If you have Laddoo Gopal at home, then give bath to him also and offer him traditional prasad such as makhan or, mishri, ladoos, and fruits. Many devotees visit Lord Krishna temples or if they are at home then they spend their whole day by chanting Shri Krishna Maha Mantra and singing Krishna bhajans. Prepare sattvik food items and break their fast after puja and one must offer Arghya to Moon God also before breaking the fast.
