NEW DELHI: Two individuals have been arrested for attempting to illegally enter Bollywood actor Salman Khan 's residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai, in separate incidents that occurred on consecutive days earlier this week.
On Tuesday, 23-year-old Jitendra Kumar Singh from Chhattisgarh was seen loitering near the apartment complex in the morning. When asked to leave by a constable, he reportedly smashed his mobile phone in frustration. Later that evening, Singh returned and tried to sneak into the premises by following a resident's vehicle. Though he breached the compound, he was stopped at the main gate by security personnel and handed over to Bandra Police. During questioning, Singh told police he was a fan who desperately wanted to meet the actor.
The next morning, a 36-year-old woman named Isha Chabria from Khar attempted a similar intrusion. Claiming she had been invited by Khan, she managed to reach the actor's flat and even knocked on the door. However, when the staff found she had no legitimate reason to be there, they contacted police and she was taken into custody.
Authorities confirmed both Singh and Chabria have been booked under charges of house trespassing under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. An official stated that the woman is still being questioned, and her background is being verified.
These back-to-back incidents have raised concerns, especially given that Salman Khan remains under heightened security due to threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The actor currently enjoys 'Y-plus' security cover provided by Mumbai Police.
